When I was in business school one of my lecturers used to say that you are only as successful as your employees. Though some may find it skewed thinking but for most it is like a biblical mantra for good business practice. Virtual PBX is yet another tool that has come up to give full light to this ambition to make sure that all employees are able to communicate with one another in a meaningful way. The other business aspects gets your attention ,as this system looks after to organize your daily office activities with minimal fuss.
Working in a happy place is fun
It is understood if most of us do not expect our employees to like the idea of being managed by a new telecommunication system sitting in a remote location. However do remember most of the career oriented employees prefer a pleasant and productive work environment except the really worst employees. Many will be ready to accept the usability of virtual PBX if it is proved. In any case with the virtual PBX system you are able to take employees aware from less priority matters towards the core business objective of making maximum profits. This is the objective of most sane businesses.
Dealing with the problems as they are thrown at the PBX system
The initial resistance that you might experience with a new virtual PBX system is just common practice for most businesses when they bring in new systems. You must not take it personally or assume that you have bad employees. It could be that the system on which even you are not totally confident ,so are your employees. If you really want your virtual PBX to be more effective ,then be a good listener for your customers and do not hesitate if you need to incorporate certain suggestions from them.
Training is a very powerful tool in trying to overcome certain barriers such as traditional resistance. Unless you are willing to give your employees proper training, they are going to struggle to manage your new virtual PBX system which in turn will effect the productivity. The training systems that you put in place may be the one thing that will ensure that there is broad support for your virtual PBX system.
If you are planning to put into use the virtual PBX system then it is time for you to learn and also teach your senior management how to use the system. Managing your office through remote is not the only aspect of this. Check for proper functioning of administrative and supervisory systems. This will also involve the verification of compliance of the system with new virtual PBX. Learning process is an ongoing process, so senior management needs to show the way by learning and motivate their lower level employees to start it too. So do not neglect them.
